    Julian tried to sit still as the makeup artist attempted to make his pores disappear and render his already nearly flawless skin more like the face of a plastic Ken doll. He didn’t usually like this part of photoshoots or filming, because he wasn’t one to sit still for pampering or fussing. He was a workaholic at heart, and any time he was sitting still and letting someone else do the work—even if it was in preparation for work that he was going to do—he felt restless and useless.
    He was jiggling his knee the entire time, until Logan got fed up, leaning forward and placing a firm hand on top of his thigh. His boyfriend—God, that was still a little weird to even think that in public—had been sitting in an extra chair next to the makeup table with some cross between a scowl and a smirk on his face. Logan was forever a contradiction, Julian thought. And that was totally fine with him.
